Learn how to become aware of your thoughts & your feelings
First make a list of things, people, situations, events and memories that make you feel good in some way when you think about them.
You might include things such as:
- Watching a beautiful sunset
- Holding or watching your child or your pet
- Lying in a beautiful warm bath
- Eating something delicious
- Winning a prize or doing well at something
- Receiving praise
- Looking at a beautiful view or picture
- Listening to some beautiful music
- Going on an exciting journey
- Achieving something special
- Seeing something amazing in nature
- Enjoying something you love doing
List as many things as possible – if you don’t have many things on the list yet – that’s ok – your list will soon be growing very fast – you can keep adding to it as you notice what makes you feel good now!.
When you have listed at least 1 thing that you feel good when you think about or imagine – then read these instructions and then go through the process described:
- Close your eyes and start by focusing on your breathing to take you inside yourself.
- Now imagine you are studying the mind and the body you are in as if it belongs to someone else.
- Start to notice any thoughts going through the mind and any feelings or sensations passing through the body – without judging or trying to change them.
- Just observe them and notice how they change in subtle ways or in big ways as you observe.
- Notice also the feelings experienced by ‘this person’ as each thought passes through the mind.
- Next – think about one of the things on your list – till you feel really good.
- Now notice the thoughts going through your mind when you imagine this pleasurable situation or event. And notice the feelings you experience as a result of those thoughts.
When you’ve done all this thoroughly – open your eyes and come back to the room and to this page.
Repeat this process at least twice every day for 5-10 minutes.
The more often you practice the easier it will get – the more easily you will start to notice your thoughts and feelings automatically – and the faster you will start to enjoy love, happiness and sexual ecstasy.
So keep doing it!
If at any time you notice you are thinking negative or unsupportive thoughts or experiencing uncomfortable feelings – first notice them and accept them just as they are – and then decide to think about one of the things on your list that causes you to feel pleasurable feelings – and notice what happens.
